Great Weekend!
Well, this has been a wonderful weekend. Yesterday I went to a scrapbooking workshop in the morning, then left for awhile to do some shopping and having lunch with Bill, our daughter Rachel, and our grandkids. After a perfectly lovely time, I went back to the scrapbooking for awhile. I’m making a special little paper bag scrapbook for our minister and his wife, because they’re moving to another church in a few weeks.
Today was very emotional, but mostly good. This morning was church. We celebrated our high school and college graduates, and I helped them assist the minister in serving communion. This was our last communion with Pastor Chuck, so it was quite sad. I served him, and we both cried. He’s been a precious friend and a wonderful boss.
This evening we met Rachel, Kyle and the grandkids at a local Mexican restaurant for my birthday dinner. Yummy!!! Rachel had made a caramel cake for me, and it was delicious! The restaurant employees sang Happy Birthday to me and gave me a little ice cream sandwich for dessert. They presented that to me while placing a large Mexican hat on my head and dabbing my nose with some of the whipped cream topping the ice cream sandwich. Funny pictures!
Our son Matt and his wife Sarah were out of town, so we’ll celebrate with them next weekend. I love my family!
Sounds like a great weekend! Happy Birthday!! Hope you have a great week. >^..^<
