Another good day

First of all, thank you to those who wrote encouraging messages about my last post. It really made me feel good.

There was a meeting called today for parents and youth. Ironically, it was called by one of the parents who had a complaining child. She asked the minister if she could do this. Her original thinking was to pull parents together and plan how they could run the youth program without a paid staff member. Well, it seems she was the only one who voiced a complain, and the rest of it was, as one of my friends reported to me, pretty much a "Gail love fest." I did not attend, because I didn’t know how I would react, and I knew that it would be easier for people to talk if I wasn’t.

My minister called me and said that things went really well, and that there is almost sure to be a compromise reached where I stay on as coordinator, and the parents are more involved in programs. I have no problem with that! We still have the meeting on Tuesday night, but the pastor indicated to me that I would be hearing details of the compromise on Tuesday. That makes me far less anxious about that meeting!

I also received a call from my dear friend, the doctor’s wife. They had both told me they weren’t going to be at the meeting, because his sister was coming from out of state, and they were driving about 3 hours to meet her. So I was VERY surprised when she called and said they arranged to meet earlier and leave in time to be there for the meeting. I have no words. I’m humbled beyond belief. Very, very blessed to have friends like that.

:-0) Because you are loved my friend – I’m so glad it went well for you. I didn’t go for the first dress as the colours weren’t quite right for me. Hope your Monday is a great one. Hugs x
