Internet breaks
The clothes that I got hand-me-down from a friend in the fat acceptance group just barely fit when I got them from her and now a lot of them no longer fit. It’s unfortunate because her clothes make up about 90% of my wardrobe right now. I realized I had to go shopping for some new stuff and I discovered that Ebay is actually a great source for clothes in those hard-to-find sizes.
I haven’t been online in a while because my sister started restricting my online time. She sent me an email a while ago and it said that she wanted me to start weighing myself every morning and then texting her my weight. She said that if I gained two days in a row she would disable my internet for 24 hours. She said three days in a row would mean a week without internet and she would add a week for each day I continued gaining.
She said she knew I could just lie to her but she wanted me to be honest with it because she thought it would help encourage me to stop gaining. That was exactly how she phrased it "stop gaining" instead of telling me to lose weight, and I appreciated that.
The first day I texted her I weighed 418. The next day it was 419 and I was worried that I would already be losing my internet. But I was 418 again the next day. When you’re my weight, fluctuations of several pounds in a day is not at all uncommon and I knew it would only be a matter of time before I went up two days in a row. The next day I weighed 420 and the following day 421 and she cut me off right away.
My weight stayed in the range of 418-422 for a while and not much was happening. Then I weighed in four days in a row at 426, then 428, then 429, then 430 and lost my internet for two weeks. When she shut it off two weeks ago, she said that I better weigh less than 430 after the two weeks or she would leave it off. I’m happy to say I weighed in at 428 today and I got my internet back.
