Alone

Alone…

These fingers touched your face oneday,
they long again to stroke away.
These eyes that held your face in view,
Long again to see you too.

Arms that now stretch emptily,
where once you rested comfortably.
This lap that once your head did rest,
Is now a silent empty nest.

And all that I can say to you,
is "Darling how I so miss you."

I work and strive for day to day,
so that in some time see you I may.
While aging heart beats a ryhmn,
of longing and lust, and needs defined.

For an understatement that is clear,
Without you, I’m alone, my dear.

I love you, no matter near nor far, no matter where you are.
