dont let the not so right one in!

Im having a better day today!

I spent the majority of yesterday lying in bed, miserable and bored to the bones! Yesterday morning I awoke to what I can only describe as having a dragon move into my throat! The night prior I wasn’t feeling well and my throat was bothering me a little, which I just chalked up to being a result of my lack of food consumption. Little did I know, it was strep throat in the making. Well I suppose it had already been made!  But, yes, the dragon, that lovely dragon that moved in my throat temporarily was just a joy to host. He settled in nicely and got comfy!

I was meant to go into work yesterday morning but decided to go go into the doctors office instead. I like to think of this as some what of a mile stone, only because I decided to take care of my body’s needs rather than just suffer through it and move on with my day! So score one for me, as I do believe this counts as a point. A point is a point right?

The dragons arrival made the left side of my throat all swollen, spotty, and hurt like a bitch. It made my whole face hurt! It hurt to breath, to swallow, to move my mouth in any way! Which made brushing my teeth to difficult of a task. I think I may be over exagerating about the whole painful thing as I never really knew what strep throat felt like. Unless I had it when I was really young and just couldn’t remember the feeling. So perhaps I sound like a big baby complaining about it! But damnit, it hurt. It wiped me out even more!

I did the whole doctor thing, got a prescription, and am now thankfully feeling a ton better! Needless to say, yesterday wasn’t much fun. I didn’t have the energy to move about, which in turn made me lay in bed for a long while and just couldn’t seem to rest!

You know what? I had a point to this entry…but then I got up from the computer and lost it all, including interest. But this isn’t a good way to end things…ummm

So I will end with some advice at least…

It may be important to "Let The Right One In"  but before you do, make sure its not the dragon. The dragon is not the right one to let in, the dragon is too grouchy. If you are going to let the right one in, make sure its not a mythical fire breathing creature! Otherwise, keep an open mouth! (or mind, what ever works for you)
