Busy Weekends
Last weekend was jam packed full of stuff. Some of the things that went on:
Friday: I had taken off, so I went down to see the tall ships and the ‘sailabration’ in the harbor. The event was commemorating the bicentennial of the beginning of The War of 1812 and included the Blue Angels (flying all over above the city last week), events at Fort McHenry, and a bunch of tall sailing ships in the harbor. I spent the event with Tom and some of his family, touring the Mexican and Brazilian ships. In the evening, we met Scott, Matt, Seth, and Cara to see Reel Big Fish for free at Power Plant. I had to hide my back pack under a dumpster nearby because they wouldn’t let me take it inside.
Saturday: Mini-Golf, drinks, and go-carts in Ocean City with Scott and people. We originally intended to stay the night, but just ended up making it a day trip. The golf game at Jolly Roger’s Jungle Golf ended with Matt in first at 44 points, Scott and I tied for second at 45, and Cara and Rebekah were a bit further behind. Erick went home early, so he didn’t play. We got home around 4, so I was really tired.
Sunday: Fathers Day! Dad and Mom came down to see the tall ships, then picked me up to meet Lauren and Justin at an Irish restaurant in Westminster. Justin ended up skipping out, though, but I had a good time and had a few beers with the family. When I got home, I was a bit drunk, so I passed out and slept for 8 hours.
Monday: Hershey park with Tom and Katie. I had the ticket left over from when I was sick about a month ago and they had extras from students who missed Katie’s field trip. The day started out rainy, but was great because few people were in the lines. We rode tons of coasters, including the new “Skyrush” and stayed until pretty late (9:30). Another long day!
