Prometheus
Last night, I rode the circulator down to meet Tom at Idle Hour, a cozy bar in Federal Hill adorned with fuscia Christmas lights and skulls. We had a couple of beers with Katie and Erick, talked about books and TV shows, then set off across the city to find his car and drive up to White Marsh. The time had come at least – we were going to see Prometheus.
In lead up to the event, we went to Scott’s last Saturday and had an Alien movies marathon. After the first two, we quite, though, and played Cards Against Humanity instead.
Up in White Marsh, our group was Matt, Kate (Matt’s friend), Scott, Tom, and me. We had a couple of beers at Red Brick, organized our tickets, and went into the movie thirty minutes early.
I ended up really enjoying it. The plot left some questions to be answered, but that a good thing, the soundtrack was awesome, the character of David was great, and the allusions to other films were fun.
Since it was a midnight showing, we didn’t even get home until after 3 a.m. In the morning, I was so tired that I called into work and had a day off. I couldn’t get back to sleep after calling in, though, and ended up having a really lazy day bumming around the apartment. I ate Chipotle for lunch, played Minecraft, finished beating Bastion, worked on my novel, and layed in bed. Tomorrow, back to work, then my birthday party!
Happy Birthday!
