March
March is here at last. Thursday, the first, was sunny and warm, so I woke up early, meditated, and went for a quick jog. I was pressing my morning schedule, but the sixty degree weather was just too irresistible.
Work was pretty standard. A crush of school kids in the morning, followed by quiet in the afternoon. I took the slow periods and finished the book I’ve been reading: “Grave Peril,” part of the Dresden Files. It’s basically what I’d describe as pulp fiction. Nothing fantastic, but something that’s somewhat entertaining and fun to read. If they author had better editors or readers, the series could be really good, but as it stands there are too many plot holes and annoying parts of the story.
That evening, I went to have dinner over my parents. Unfortunately, they were out with my grandmother, so I just ended up eating left over chicken parmesan by myself and doing my laundry. Not a big deal, really, but I felt bad asking for help with the rent when they came home and then leaving shortly afterwards.
I got back to the apartment at a reasonable hour, then kicked back and relaxed a bit.
Oh, and I forgot to mention. The kitten caught his first mouse! I found it on the kitchen floor that morning. Good job kitten! It was a bit gruesome, with the head, tails, and limbs removed, but I’m still glad he can help keep our apartment rodent free.
And with that nasty note, I’ll finish this one. More later.
