Preparations…

The exams are over, but the true test is just beginning. I’ve been marshaling recommendations, writing essays, investigating schools, and filling out applications. It’s time for grad school apps… round two!

The process wouldn’t be nearly as painful if they had an applications process that made sense – one where all of the transcripts and recommendations could be collected and submitted electronically to the different schools, but alas – applying to these physics programs feels like a process designed in the stone age.

Other stuff going on- I’ve been working on my novel, Silent City, and reading stuff over at eFiction. I’ve even banned myself from playing Skyrim until Christmas, when edits are closer to complete and much of this application stuff will be behind me. In the meantime, hopefully I won’t lose my mind.
