November writing and a healthy outlook

I hung out with Paul the day before Halloween, but otherwise it was a pretty tame weekend. I was still a bit sick and didn’t want to go overboard with drinking, so my plans to dress as an intern from “The Life Aquatic” fell silently by the wayside.

Monday came and went while I didn’t Modern Physics homework and pretty “Zombie Atom Smasher” from the steam Halloween sale. Not a bad way to spend Halloween, but not what I’d prefer either. I suppose there have been worse – like the time Bri didn’t want to hang out with me on Halloween when we had just started dating – but eh, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.

As November rolled around, I made some resolutions. I wanted to work more on my writing, and would use NaNoWriMo to help me achieve that. Second, I wanted to keep watching what I eat. I started doing that a few weeks ago and had some initial success, but things feel be the wayside for a bit with the party and some nights out. Third, I wanted to read more, focusing on books instead of video games all the time. Last, I need to meditate and chant more. Focusing on my Buddhism seems to really help keep me productive and healthy, so it should be able to help me with my other goals. Hopefully by Christmas I’ll have a good manuscript to work with, a skinnier wasteline, a better selection of books that I’ve read, and a more peaceful mind. Only time will tell!
