Emily, the second

Things have changed quite a bit since my last entry. I’ve moved into a new apartment with Dan down in Mount Vernon, a cheaper, more modest place above the sushi restaurant our landlord owns. It actually suits our needs better than the old place. The rent is more reasonable and the rooms are more balanced.

That’s not the only new development, though. I met a girl, an awesome girl, who works with me at the science center. Her name is Emily, and we first went out about a month ago. I had been thinking of asking her out for quite a while and confessed to Daniel that I was interested in her, but in typical Daniel fashion, he was a jerk and asked her to ‘hang out sometime’ before I made my move. She ended up evading the question, but messaged me on facebook a week or so later asking if I wanted to go out sometime. So awesome!

In addition to working at the Science Center together, we both play video games (she loves Minecraft and Portal), we both like drinking and going out, and we love science. In between work and class, we’ve been seeing a lot of each other and I’m really excited. It’s not often I meet someone who I have a lot in common with AND really have good chemistry with.
