I got my new Nugget! It’s a REALLY long story, but essentially what happened is that I got a call that the puppy I’d picked out and been so excited about, had probably been exposed to Parvo and they weren’t willing to sell him. So this whole course of events happened and I was extremely heartbroken, and they said I could have a refund and keep him if I was willing to take him to the vet and get him treated, etc. and I was just really worried about my sister’s dog getting some disease because these back-yard breeders couldn’t get their story straight. So I’m heartbroken and I get on Craigslist, one of the MANY places I’ve been on the prowl for puppies, and find someone a town over with a 15 month old puggle listed for FREE because they just don’t have enough time for him anymore. EEEEE! I happened to have caught the ad about 10 minutes after it was posted, and about 12 hours later mid-day Saturday, we met the puppy’s daddy and he ended up giving him to us! His family had kids that were getting older and doing all sorts of activities and he was stuck home crated way more then they anticipated. He’s awesome, a broken-in-pup. I was really worried about him missing them and not fitting in, but when dad came home around 11 that night, he barked because the door made a noise and someone was intruding, and he’s just been perfect ever since!
I can’t pin down a name at all!!! I still love Nugget, but I want to say "this is ______, he’s my nugget". Not his name being Nugget. I think it’d be funny to name a puggle Muggle, but that’s just me being funny. Nothing matches his personality yet. I think Sarge is pretty funny. Who knows. He’s just effing sweet. Snores like a banshee, love it. Super-high-energy, but totally a lap-napper, and I’ve taken him everywhere.
I just spent a lotta time thinking about the pup, whooooo. Anyway. Other then that, I’ve been really busy canvassing businesses for the company. I’m trying really hard to get this thing off the ground, and we’ll see how things go. I’m terribly in need of a day when I can eat nothing but vegetables, I’ve been at home and not eating the same type of healthy crap I get when I’m at work every meal of the day weekdays. ehhhhh. I’m interviewing some girls tomorrow morning, I’ve never been the interview-er, kind of nerve-wracking.
I’ll ask you guys, because a lot of you are moms- If you were looking for a GREAT babysitter/nanny (money not being a factor I suppose), where would be the best place for me to convince you to pick MY girls? I’m at all the mommy-stores in all the posh areas, and I’m working on advertisements with momslikeme.com and MOPS and MODmoms (a playgroup group in Denver) and those types of things. What other resources would you be likely to turn to and pick up our website name? Maybe libraries with story time, etc. or just Gymboree classes? Would it be offensive if I were to actually COME to a library reading and have a few business cards/pamphlets with a half off registration or something? I just worry about stepping on toes, but aggressively getting the word out there.
Hopefully my effing pictures come out. I upload them to photobucket, or from my computer, and they always look all blurry and poopy when I see my entries. BOO.
horray for nugget. cutie pie. it wouldn’t be offensive (to me) if someone were at the library offering me half off registration or even trying to just give me a pamphlet. there are tons of places you could go, hell, every mom has to shop, you could meet up with tons of moms just at the local grocery stores or parks etc.

RYN: Absolutely no need to be married or getting married! I just used that as an example since I know a few people picked me up as a fave through that circle.

YAY for the new baby!! Didn’t he come with a name? Good luck with that! He’s adorable!! Can’t really help with the advertising. Doctor’s office maybe? For new mom’s who haven’t returned to work yet and pregnant ladies who are starting to interview… RYN: I had never talked to anyone about it either. There is a learning curve, but when it’s in right it’s so frickin’ awesome! There’s a group on

live journal that is extremely graphic and informative. I’ve always been REALLY shy about that sort of thing and not really comfortable with my own body. One time with Diva and that community and I’m over it. http://community.livejournal.com/menstrual_cups/ There is the site. All the info from women who have perfected it.
