DO YOU HAVE A DISHWASHER OR DO YOU HAVE TO DO YOUR DISHES BY HAND?

By hand, I have never liked dishwashers all that much. Unless you are always doing a large amount of dishes, they seem to take more time than just washing them by hand.

HOW MANY PLANTS DO YOU HAVE INSIDE?

4, an avacado plant, a Christmas Cactus given to me by a former ODer (It’s a start from a plant that’s over 100 years old), and two plants from Michael’s funeral.

DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE THAT YOU PUT YOUR KEYS?

My car keys in my purse except when I forget and leave them in my pocket.

IS YOUR REFRIGERATOR STOCKED WITH ANYTHING?

Regular stuff. Lots of cheese because Don lives on cheese! Eggs, milk, my almond milk, etc. We also have a small fridge in the kitchen where we keep all drinks such as bottled water, juice etc.

WHERE DO YOU KEEP YOUR BREAD?

In a bread box.

IS YOUR BATHROOM CLEAN?

Yes, mine is but Don’s is usually a mess. I stay out of there!

WHAT IS YOUR BATHROOM’S THEME?

White walls with red and black decor. Mostly art deco artwork on the walls.

HOW MANY RUGS DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR DWELLING SPACE?

One in the laundry room, one in Don’s bath, two in mine and a small bedroom rug in the upstairs bedroom.

DO YOU KNOW YOUR NEIGHBORS?

Yes, the one across the street is the mother of one of my former classmates, the ones next door are the grandson of the one across the street and his wife is the step daughter of a friend, the one two houses down is my nephew and his wife and Don’s daughter lives a block  from us. The house where I raised my sons is two houses down from us.

ARE THERE ANY STRAY CATS AROUND?

Too many! I get so tired of them walking around on my car as soon as I wash it!

DO YOU HAVE A DVD PLAYER IN YOUR BEDROOM?

Yes as part of my TV. I also have a VCR and several VSH tapes, and a Victrola that plays CD’s and has a radio on it. I listen to record albums and KLOVE radio mostly.

WHICH ROOM WOULD YOU SAY YOU SPEND THE MOST TIME IN?

Upstairs bedroom or office

DO YOU HAVE A POOL OR JACUZZI WHERE YOU LIVE?

No, not unless you count our fish pond! 🙂 I had an above ground pool but had to get rid of it because Don didn’t want the grass killed in the back yard.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE DVD THAT YOU OWN?

I don’t watch a lot of DVD’s but I guess Field of Dreams

WHERE IS YOUR STEREO OR RADIO LOCATED IN YOUR HOME?

We have two Victrola’s – one in the upstairs bedroom and one in the dining room downstairs. Don has a Bose radio in the kitchen that we leave on for the dogs if we are going to be gone very long.

DO YOU HAVE A COFFEE MAKER?

Yes a tiny one because neither one of us drink much coffee.

DO YOU HAVE AN AREA DESIGNATED FOR ALCOHOL?

The small fridge in the kitchen. Don mixes a drink occasionally but I only do if it’s really hot outside and I’ve been working hard.

HOW MANY TELEVISIONS DO YOU HAVE?

Four – Two downstairs and two upstairs.

DO YOU HAVE STAIRS?

Yep, the staircase is the prettiest thing in the house.

WHAT KIND OF STUFF DO YOU HAVE ON YOUR WALLS?

Artwork and photos. A wide variety of artwork, some expensive (in our world) and some just junk. Don and his son are both good photographers and we have some of their photos framed and on the wall. I also have my great grandmother and great aunt’s portraits in oval frames on the wall in the entry.

WHERE DO YOU KEEP YOUR TOOTHPASTE?

In the medicine cabinet.

DO YOU HAVE A DEN OR AN OFFICE?

I have a combo den/office upstairs.

DO YOU LIVE CLOSE TO ANY STORES?

Yes , one block away. I usually walk unless I’m going to have a lot to bring home.

DO YOU HAVE A WALK IN CLOSET AND IF NOT WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE ONE?

Yes, I have one in the upstairs bedroom, the bathroom dressing room and the hall.

DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING HANGING FROM THE CEILING?

Fans and light fixtures.

DOES YOUR KITCHEN HAVE A THEME?

Not really, mostly antique kitchen utensils and keepsake crystal and knickknacks.

IS IT A PAIN TO DUST YOUR LIVING SPACE?

Not since Don got rid of his 30+ NASCAR model cars, and took his 35+ rod and reels out of the dining room.

WHAT’S UNDER YOUR BED?

I’m afraid to look. This house was a Man Cave for over 10 years!

DO YOU HAVE A GAME SYSTEM?

I have one but never use it.

HOW MANY TELEPHONES ARE IN YOUR HOME?

I have two, one I keep at home and one I keep in my purse. Don has one activated and more than I can count deactivated.

FIREPLACE AND IF SO DO YOU USE IT OFTEN?

We have three Amish electric “fireplace” heating stoves but rarely use them because they are so expensive to use. We also have a wood stove but don’t use it too often either because the smoke bothers me.

WHAT KIND OF MICROWAVE DO YOU HAVE?

No clue.

DO YOU HAVE ANY FIGURINES OF ANGELS AROUND?

Nope.

DO YOU LIKE TO OPEN THE BLINDS OR CURTAINS OR KEEP THEM SHUT?

Our house is pretty dark with them closed so I like them open but keep them closed in the winter because of the cold. This house was build in 1909 so the it’s a little hard to heat.

HOW MANY COMPUTERS ARE IN YOUR DWELLING SPACE?

I have three Kindles, 2 laptops and the hard drive from Michael’s computer. Don has one laptop.
