A Fun Survey

This was NOT one of those, “Name, age, zodiac sign” surveys, which is why it’s here.

1. If you could have anything delivered to your doorstep every morning, what would it be?
A bag full $20 bills.  No matter how big the bag is, I’d always have a few 20’s in my pocket.

2. What is one vacation destination that many people think is just fabulous but which you personally have no desire to visit (or revisit)?
Tossup between New York and anywhere in Europe.  Both destinations are seriously overhyped as places you HAVE to visit before you can consider yourself a real member of society.

3. If you were five years younger but knew everything at that age that you’ve actually learned over the last five years, what is one thing you would definitely do differently?
I would focus on my college career better, in the hopes that I could avoid all the ups and downs I experienced with it because of my own carelessness.

4. If you could wake up to one smell every morning (besides coffee) what would it be?
My grandpa’s tortillas.  That would mean he is there and I’d get to eat lots of tortillas.

5. Suppose that right now you could be at your favorite vacation spot, reading your favorite book, listening to your favorite CD, and eating your favorite food. What would be your choices for those four categories, and who (if anyone) would be with you?
Now that I’ve moved, I’d have to say that I’d be in California, reading any book that really teaches me to be a better writer (I don’t really have a favorite).  Right now, I think Jimi Hendrix would be in the CD player and Marci and my family would be with me.

6. What animated character is your all-time favorite?
Snoopy.  The funniest animated character that never said a word.

7. If you had to write a brief message on a dollar bill that many people would eventually see as the currency circulates, what message would you write?
It’s on the front of this diary–“…humility comes before honor.”

8. If you could own a home on the shore of any body of water in the world, what waterfront would you choose?
Being that I’m from California, I’d have to say the Pacific Ocean.

9. Suppose you had the opportunity to choose 3 people with whom to eat dinner with: A famous sports figure, a movie star and a popular singer. Who would you choose?
Muhammed Ali, Jessica Alba and Christina Aguilera.  The girls would sit on my lap while the champ and I talked about sports and life…then he would leave and the girls and I would have a threesome.

10. What serves as the greatest motivation for you in your daily life?
Wanting to prove that I CAN do the things people said I would never do.  The anger from that keeps me going.

11. What activity do you dread doing the most?
Driving, I suppose.  Never has been one of my favorite activities.

12. If you were a multimillionaire, what do you believe you would be doing at this moment?
I’d probably just be waking up and turning on ESPN in my luxurious game room filled with memorabilia.

13. If you could have a cookie jar full of anything you wanted, except money or cookies, what would it be filled with?
Reese’s Bites.  They rock.

14. When people hear what you do for a living, what is the most typical question or comment they give you regarding your job?
“How do you handle it?”  “Is it stressful?”  To which my answers are, “It’s my job,” and “It can be if you let it.”

15. If you could have any round object in the world, what spherical item would you want?
The NBA Championship trophy…for the memorabilia room.

16. If you were left alone for one hour with nothing more than a pen and a notepad, what would you be inclined to draw or write during those 60 minutes?
Depends.  I’d try to write something thought-provoking and profound, I would probably end up falling short.

17. If you could witness anything at all in super-slow motion, what would you want to see?
The winning basket of the Sacramento Kings’ NBA Finals Game 7 victory, especially if we get to erupt in slow motion too….like they do in the movies.

18. If someone were looking for you in a bookstore, in what section would they be most likely to find you?
Sports or magazines, easily.

19. What do you forget to do more than anything else?
To take my lunch containers out of my bag when I get home.  Marci hates that.

If you could teach everyone in the world one skill, what would it be?
How to use common sense.  Everyone CAN do it, but few people actually do.

20. You’ve been offered a chance to paint a billboard along a highway with any message you choose, as long as it’s only 10 words (or less) long. What is your message?
“Marci–Will you marry me?”  That would freak her out and almost force her to say yes.
