Thai food, to E3, and Daikokuya ramen
Jessy’s bringing me Pad Thai from one of my favorite places in Pittsburgh, a little joint called (cutely) Thai Me Up, which provides just the right amount of sexual innuendo with your food. I cannot wait to eat it.
From here my life becomes whiz-bang for a while, heading a couple hours away to chill with her family and tiny brother, attending a wedding and thank god the reception, then coming back to the burgh on Sunday to do laundry, pack up, and fly out to LAX in the evening for E3 (the electronic entertainment expo), where I will be reporting for my website. This will be my fourth year, after attending in 2005, 6, and 7 consecutively, then skipping out last year cause basically they killed it. But now it’s back, and our digs are slammin’–you can bet I’ll be hitting up Daikokuya for some delicious ramen (the best I’ve ever had, though that statement will likely change once I get to Japan).
A bombastic slam-boom series of days–now all I’ve got to do is try to let myself fly without totally freaking out as usual.
Seems like not so long ago I was writing about my first time flying in here…
