Going Down
This follows on from my last entry.
I’ve been weighing myself on a weekly basis since the start of 2003 and recording the results on a spreadsheet. Yes, very nerdy. It was in that year that I bought a pair of digital scales from Argos, replacing the ropey old ones I had that didn’t give an accurate reading, in my opinion. Taking Jan ’03 as a start point, my weight dropped a stone in the first 18 months (hooray!); but then I disappointingly regained that stone AND added a disgraceful further one from that low point (bah)*. Happily, I embarked on a slow decent from mid-2006. For the last three weeks I’ve been stuck at 13 st 6, the joint lowest point since these records began. I hit that same point a couple of times last summer but didn’t manage to dip below it. Anyway, despite my pessimistic expectations, today’s weight showed a surprising 2 lb loss… so I’m currently at a 7 year low! All done without really changing my eating habits either.
Wow, if I actually put some effort into it, I could be quite trim.
* From a peak in May 2005, I’m now 35 pounds lighter. Quite shocking.
Yaaay! Skinny Ambrosian. Don’t think people understand the awesome power of the unforgiving digital scales – I dropped 43 pounds after buying mine!
