Work makes us sick
Blimey, another entry in under a week?
I was off work on Monday and Tuesday due to illness. I woke up early on Monday morning (cor, I must have been ill) feeling… strange. 45 minutes later I was dashing off to the toilet. For the next few hours I was either sitting on it or throwing up into it. Nice. I spent pretty much all of Monday lying in bed. Even moving took a lot of planning and effort. I didn’t eat anything either, just drank water and Ribena. I was much improved on Tuesday, although still a bit ropey, but I went back to work on Wednesday. Dunno what caused it – either a dose of salmonella (can’t point the finger to any strange meal I had on Sunday though) or an odd stomach bug I acquired. Blergh.
No doubt being ill and not eating a thing on Monday helped, but when I weighed myself on Tuesday I was delighted to find that I’d lost 3 pounds on the previous week. This meant that my weight dropped below 200 pounds for the first time since June 2004. Good work. I can recommend the dodgy stomach diet to anyone.
Yeah, I’ve been trying to contract cholera for years.

Here’s an update. I was out with Michael and Aggie on the Saturday night before I was struck down with the plague. I got in touch with Michael today and he revealed that they’d both been ill this week with the same symptoms. I blame dirty pubs. Urgh.
