My Raise Can’t Come Soon Enough

Well, I’m waiting for April to roll around so that I can finally start getting paid my settled amount.  The Temp Agency wouldn’t let me go until the 1st, so that means I’m getting only 300+ for the last two weeks and maybe this week (I hope not.) Especially since somehow our phone plan ended up costing me 200 or some dollars, I’m not sure exactly how much.

So now I’ve got to pay that off and today my Dad sent me the credit card statement.  Now, I thought I’d chewed through quite a bit of money…but I did not know that in the last month I chewed through $1650.  Yes.  That’s right.  You are not mistaken.  Luckily, I have that much left in my bank account here and a little less than that in my Wisconsin Bank Account.  So now, my parents are closing my Wisconsin Account out and leaving everything to me here in good ol California.  That’s nice, privacy is good.  I just wish I hadn’t gone through all that money.  Bleh.  It kind of make me sick to think about it.

I’m not sure if I’m going to even bother with fixing my car yet.  I want to, but the fact is it’s running and I really don’t want to drag my account down anymore right now, especially when I’m sure it’s going to cost me to get the muffler and the brakes fixed.  I think I’ll wait until I get my first substantial paycheck.

Good news: rent will be less this month because we haven’t had proper heating all month.  Now you say Heat?  In California…well you’d be surprised how freakin cold it is in this state in the evenings.  It’s getting better though.  So at least that will save me a little money there.  I can’t wait to start making thousands a month, it will really help me.  I was going to spend my first paycheck on producing headshots, but I think I can wait until the second one.

I’m toying with the tutoring idea. I don’t really want to do it, actually, because it’s going to cut into more of my time, but the money might be nice to have as a cushion.  I also need to get a new phone plan out here.  Ron just got a plan for $60 a month which doesn’t sound too bad to me.  I think I’ll probably do it.  It’s cingular, it has to be good, Catherine Zeta likes it.

That’s really all for now.  I’d like to talk about acting stuff, but I haven’t really been focused on that.  Hopefully I can settle in quick and get rockin.  I’ve already been here almost 2 months.  Yikes.
