Even My Illnesses are Cool

Not much to write about here, just thought I’d update with a little story about my day. So I have a slight head cold — due to my little brother’s girlfriend using my pillow and me not thinking enough of it to realize that her germs would attack me in the night.

Today my father asked if I would shovel the snow outside his office. So I did. As I was doing it, a woman came up to me to ask if I was the one who had a kidney operation — I wanted to tell her that if I had, why would I be out shoveling snow, but instead I just said, no. As I stood up to talk to her, my vision went white and, after finishing a short conversation, I wandered back inside and proceeded to my father’s office where I nearly collapsed. I was dizzy, nauseated, and blah blah blah. So my parents decided that, since this has happened before, they needed to check to see what was wrong with me.

Turns out that I may be suffering from labrynthitis (awesome name!) which is simply a sense of dizziness that sometimes occurs because the hair cells in my very deep inner ear get aggravated and throw off my balance which is so sudden it causes a lot of other difficulties like nausea, dizziness, lack of breath, etc. It is more frequent when you have a cold or flu since your body is already weak. In other words it’s absolutely nothing. But it has a cool name. So, even my illnesses are cool. Never bland or boring for me.
