Tidal
Tidal by Diffuser
Drink me like a Dixie cup
And throw me out with all the used love
You think you might finally had enough
I don’t think you’re ordinary
Hopefully not temporary
Quicksand is the water I am treading
Here come the shakes
Nothing is faded
Another Tidal Wave of love has crashed on me
It’s not the same
Something’s changing
And you’re the tidal wave of love that’s crashed on me.
Swimming in a raincoat sleeve
I think I know you’re just what I need
There is nothing left for you to leave
Pull back, and fade to black
Woke up spitting seaweed off of my face
Here come the shakes
Nothing is faded
And you’re the tidal wave of love that’s crashed on me
It’s not the same
Something’s changing
And you’re the tidal wave of love that’s crashed on me.
Staring for days
In limbo too late to travel that road
Squint your eyes
Look at what you know.

That’s a really great song, too.
I was listening to the Diffuser songs on the way back to River Falls today, thinking about some of the lyrics, especially their biggest song which was on the MI2 soundtrack. “Sometimes you get what you want, sometimes you get what you need, but you’re always going to get what you deserve.”
I’m a good guy. I’m a great guy, I think. And it’s time I stopped giving myself the shaft in the confidence and courage department and tried to take some more action.
That’s all I have to say for now. I forgot all the other things I wanted to say.
