Tempest Rising

Of all the things you could do,

You never did enough,

To show your love,

To show your hate,

To push me down or pull me up.

Of all the things you ever said,

You never cut deep,

Though you tried to,

Though you meant to,

You couldn’t make me bleed.

Of all the things you tried,

You failed to break me down,

You failed to kill me,

You failed to beat me,

And now your turn has come around.

For all the hate

You hurled at love,

For all the pain

You dealt, it still stings

For all the times

You said it wasn’t enough,

Forever more,

You’ll regret these things.

Of all the things you’ll never see,

Your eyes won’t hold to gaze

Upon me standing tall,

Upon me flying high,

You’ll never see my glory days.

Of all the things you’ll feel,

Just before the reaper calls,

You’ll feel sorrow,

You’ll feel regret,

For all the times you made me fall.

For all the scorn,

You hurled at mirth,

For all the pain

You dealt, it still stings

For all the times

You said I had no worth,

Forever more,

You’ll regret these things.

The tempest’s rising,

And as the screaming wind draws out

The breath from your lungs and throat,

You may feel like crying,

But you won’t.

And as the lightning sears your skin,

Until your as ugly out as you are in,

You may feel like dying,

But you won’t.

And as the thunder crushes your mind,

Shattering your senses until you’re blind,

The last thing you’ll see is me smiling,

But you won’t.

For all the hate,

You hurled at me,

For all the pain

You dealt so hastily

For all the days I begged,

In mournful, needful plea,

You’ll find for all these days,

An equal sum without mercy from me.

I made my decision already, in reality the poll doesn’t affect my decisions, but it is more of a persuasive argument. So what are your views.
