At home enjoying the peace and quiet of a house to myself.  Unfortunately it’s a messy house, and i need to get off my butt soon and clean it up! lol

This weekend I went, by myself since it was spur of the moment and we had all 4 kids, to look at a house that is for rent.  I really, really liked it, and filled out the rental application right on the spot.  It would keep us in the same school district, but unfortunately the girls would probably have to go to a new elementary school.. =(, but it is the one my neices go to, so i don’t think they will be that upset about it. 

anyway.. onto the house, it is a ranch, 3 bedroom 1 bath with a laundry room on the same level.  there is no basement, boo!, but there is a HUGE shed in the backyard so storage shouldn’t be a huge problem.  In fact, I know i’ll love the shed for storing our bikes, kids’ scooters, and Charles’ lawn equipment! (HUGE bonus, since right now it’s all stored at his brother’s in-law’s rental property.. if ya can follow that, lol!  We would have to do the lawn care ourselves, OBVIOUSLY not a problem, and the snow removal.. ick, but i do see a snowblower in our future if we get the house.. There is also a really nice, big, carport, great sized backyard that’s enclosed by a privacy fence.  I also love that there is a woodburning stove in the living room, so our heating bills would be considerably less.

oh yeah, and the rent?, it’s $10 LESS than our rent will be as of may 1st, since they are increasing it here by $20/month. 

Ah well, hopefully I will hear something today.  Either way, i’ll be ok with it, because, as I’m sure you are all aware, moving SUCKS! lol

*** We got it!! Looks like we’ll be moving on May 1st!! We go on Friday so Charles (and maybe the girls) can see it and so we can go over/sign the lease.  BRING ON THE BOXES!)***

I have no idea what we are doing for Easter this year.  =(  I’m really sad about that, I want it to be great for the girls.  You see, usually what I would do is go to church and then to my grandparents’ house for dinner and to see family.  Well, as many of you are aware, Charles isn’t welcome at my grandparents’ house.  Crazy, I know.  (because of my grandfather’s views on marriage/divorce/relationships/whatever). So i honestly don’t know what to do…

Probably, I’ll end up making dinner here and my mom will come over, maybe i’ll invite some other people over too, so it can be a "party."  Unfortunately, usually people have their own plans, i’m just the one without.. i know, poor me.. lol!  I just feel a bit upset about the whole thing.. ugh.

On a good note.. well, a good shopping note.  =)  A Yankee candle outlet just opened at the outlet mall that is approximately 7 minutes from my house, and i went in yesterday… AND… ALL thier large jar candles, which i love, are $15 (not $25 like retail) all the time!!  so excited!! yes, i’m a geek. 

but i picked up 2 and fully plan on burning them today.. i got Vanilla Lime and MacIntosh and Peach… mmmmm…
Totally don’t ever in my entire life want to return to work.. but yeah, I’ll be going back in 2 weeks.  I really need to use my time to catch up on grading and planning soon.  I literally have not opened my school bag since the friday I left…and to tell the truth…. i’ve been loving it!
Speaking of jobs, any of you locally probably already know that the New York State budget, which hasn’t been passed yet, includes HUGE cuts to education. So many, if not all, districts across the state are downsizing.  So yeah, i may be unemployed come September..  as much as I loathe my job, i was hoping it would be there to support us if I still needed it to be, now i’m not so sure.
LOVE my new laptop, HATE that i can’t find the disk to hook it up to our wireless printer.. will have to look today..
oh yeah, on the job front.. as much as I really, really, really want to stay home this summer with the girls,, and still will quite possibly, I’m also thinking of applying to teach summer school at the nearby high school.  It is only 8 to 1130, unlike Wyndham’s full day summer school, and it pays really well.  If i’m not going to have a full time job next year i’m thinking i should probably make as much money as i can whenever possible..

so i’ll be filling that application out today, to keep that option open. ( and if the girls get to go to a couple weeks of YMCA day camp, they would be over-the-moon, so, it wouldn’t be too bad.. )
I’m still loving on the gym, although i haven’t been there in a few days.  I’m feeling a bit of my appetite returning, probably from being off work.  So I need to keep going to the gym so i don’t regain all that weight.  that would suck!  =P

I’ve been going 3 to 4 x a week, and that includes 2 zumba classes, which I wouldn’t miss for the world!  I adore them!
Well, if you made it this far, you deserve an award!!  and thanks for listening..  i’m off to try to do something productive with this day, although all i really want to do is get into my snuggie and read a book..
