Relay for Life***

I’ve decided to participate in the Relay for Life this year.  It is to raise money for the American Cancer Society. 

Since no other disease or ailment has affected me in the same way that cancer has, I thought this was a great cause for me to get involved in.  My cousin Liz, who was more like an aunt to me, passed away from breast cancer in November 2008, on Black Friday to be exact.  Besides that my father’s best friend, died in his early 40’s from pancreatic cancer when i was 12.  And beyond that, I lost my Papy – my dad’s father, at the age of 4, from lung cancer.

You can definitely say that cancer has come in and touched my life. 

Anyway, I’m really excited to participate and raise money for an amazing charity..
