Father’s Day.

Today is Father’s day and i’m left without any real plans for the day.  My father works out of town so a get together with him is not possible.

My girls are leaving here around 4pm to have dinner with their father.  Which i do think they need to do, but i wish i could just keep them.  And yes, I could just keep them, but that is just mean and selfish, and although i want to, i won’t be that way.

Charles is here and I am so grateful for the amazing role he has taken up in my kids’ lives.  He was making fun of me this morning because to be honest, making him breakfast and buying him a card didn’t occur to me (he already has his gift) even though it SHOULD have.  So Maya went downstairs and made him a picture (card) and made him toast all by herself!  I was really proud of her!

He’s on his way now to pick up Hailey.  Alyssa is going to an amusement park with her mom and a friend instead of seeing her father on Father’s day.  Her mom allows this, even promotes it, i won’t be that way.  I can see the damage she is causing.

There is a housewarming party at my cousin’s new house today.  I should go, but i’m not.  I won’t have the girls anyway.  It starts at 3pm and i’d have to at least wait until 4pm when Dave picks up the kids.  Oh and Hailey is getting picked up at 430pm so the times just really don’t work out…

I actually think we are all going to go to the park.  Charles can fish in the pond and the kids can play on the playground.. maybe we’ll even take a picnic lunch..

ok off to figure out this day..
