Best day ever. (photo link)

Yesterday was a seriously great day..

We spent the entire day out in the sunshine, just Charles & I.  At first we went to Olcott Beach.  There we brought our little propane grill, chicken breasts (marinated in Chiavettas), a baby carrot candied carrot grill packet, and chips and had  a picnic by Lake Ontario, just the two of us.  After lunch we sat around in the sunshine on a blanket just talking.. so relaxing..

Afterwards we went to Bye’s Popcorn.  It’s this little popcorn stand in Olcott that makes homemade popcorn and caramel corn since like the 1930’s. It’s just this little stand in front of these people’s house, but it’s awesome.  I remember my Dad taking me there as a little girl.  Anyway, we stopped there and got caramel corn and then headed out to yet another park.. lol!

We headed to Niawanda park and took a nice walk along the Niagara River.  It was really packed there!  After our walk we laid around on a blanket again near the river and watched the boats and relaxed.. bliss! 

Afterwards we headed home and hung out for a short time before the girls came home.  When the did we packed them into the car and headed off to the playground where they played while Charles and I shot golf balls in the field.  (I can actually hit the ball!! amazing, i know!)

and after that it was time for bed..
