Actions speak louder than words!

So I talked to Dave last night.
And of course, he talked the good talk.

Do I want to believe him? yes  Do I?  NO!

He said a variety of great "tell me what you know i want to hear" things.. but even some of those came with a twist..  So here is the talk..

  • "If they’re sick sometime i should be able to take off, you are right it shouldn’t be all on you."  so i say, "see what kind of sick time you have, make them aware that you have children you are responsible for".. and the answer.. "well ok, well,, i don’t know if I should because Jody, well, she’s kind of an ass."
  • "I want to be able to take them overnight.  It’s one of the main reasons i want to get a place of my own. I might be able to rent a room out in the woman-who-trained-me’s house"  me, "GREAT! you should be able to take the kids then."  Him.. no response until i asked today and then "well i don’t even know if i’ll be able to take them if i live in (that woman)’s house, probably not."  i told him to ask before he lives there and if they’re not welcome.. DON’T LIVE THERE!"  but of course he "has to live whereever he can because he has no money"
  • "oh in the summer i’m going to get them more.. like if we (him, child-bride, and spawn of child-bride) go to a park or something there’s no reason Maya and Paige can’t come, ya know"  Anyone else see a problem with this one????
  • and the icing on the cake??!  When he talked to maya to say goodnight last night he told her how he "misses tucking her in and singing songs to her" So my 5-year-old woke up very upset and depressed this morning talking about how she missed her daddy.. Thanks Dave!

So today we drove past my grandparents’ house on the way home from work and his car was in their driveway. *lightbulb moment* Gee, why don’t I call him and see if he’ll take the kids for an hour or so and drop them off at Awana’s since Maya was so upset this morning..

Cue a 15 minute argument.. He was just too busy cleaning out the camper (!!!!!), stopping to buy some groceries, and going to have dinner at child-bride’s at 630.  Finally he decided that the girls could come with him to get groceries.. (lucky them *eye roll*) and then he would drop them off at awanas.. a whole hour later.. woo-hoo.. jerk!

when he picked them up Paige had fallen asleep for a few minutes on the couch and her hair was messy.. *new argument*  in which i told him to buy a brush for her if it was that important to him..

whatever.. not in the mood to type anymore..

going to get my hair done, then to the gym.. i think..
