#8 – A new day has come

I finally got to watch the election being called for Obama on Youtube. I don’t know what happened that night, but NBC switched over to the local elections and I then decided to go to the CNN coverage. I accidentally turned on Nancy Grace and by the time I flipped 2 channels down to CNN, they had called it and were showing shots of Grant Park. I wish I could have been there. I just can’t believe that the US has finally gotten to this point. All of the videos on youtube made me cry and just swell with optimism.

Now we just anxiously await 1.20.09 and the end of an awful 8 year era.

My friend told me when Bush was running for president the first time that he was, and I quote, harmless.

I asked him the other night how he feels about that now.
