I Bet I Can Gross You Out

WARNING, THIS ENTRY IS GOING TO CONTAIN SOME SERIOUS TMI!

 

Ok, now that I’ve thoroughly warned everyone… I’m fairly certain Liam will be making his big entrance soon. I know it could mean nothing right now, but I lost my plug earlier, or what was left anyway. See, I was having some pretty serious contractions at work, the morning of the 4th. Like, to the point that I was cringing and seriously contemplating going to the hospital. I downloaded a timer for my phone and timed them. They were between 10 and 15 mins apart and about 30 seconds long. I kept working while timing them, and it seemed the longer I sat the worse they got. Once I was at the register they subsided a great deal. At that point they were about 30 mins to an hour apart and only 20 to 30 seconds long. They started got worse during the drive home, but once we got to the house and I walked around a bit they almost completely mellowed out. They were coming every hour to hour and a half and were barely 20 seconds long. The next morning I had a couple, but they were nowhere near as bad as the day before. Ever since I’ve had this weird discharge that seemed to kind of be stuck in there. Like, I could pull some of it out, but you know, it’s slimy, so I couldn’t get a very good grip. I assumed it was pieces of my plug, especially since I would cramp a little after some of it would come out. Well, today I pretty much confirmed that it was my plug because I went to use the bathroom at work, (Only like 2 contractions this morning and they weren’t painful at all!) and the rest of it was in my panties. I looked down and was like O.O! I hadn’t felt anything. It was super gross, though more dry than the previous slimy versions. Since then I’ve felt a little crampy, but it could be because my stomach was already feeling yucky. I haven’t felt any contractions thus far, and he’s been kicking like crazy most of the afternoon, so I think I’m ok for now. Problem is, everything I’ve read says that I could go into labor anytime, for the next 3 weeks. I know it can regenerate, but I’m also fairly certain I lost all of it, as there was a great deal in my undies. In 3 weeks I’ll be barely over 37 weeks. If I can hang on for that long he’ll technically be full term, but the way things have been going, I don’t think he’ll stick around for that long. This little bugger wants out! I’m terrified, but beyond excited. I want to meet the little guy so bad, but at the same time I want him to chill and stay put until August. At least the first week of August, so I can finish getting what we need, have the rent covered, and get the rest of the shit done at work for my backup. Though, I really wish I didn’t care about the work crap after the latest shit I’ve been through, but I love my coworkers and my immediate boss. Apparently my boss’s boss will have her write me up, but won’t actually take the time to say something to me herself or hear my side of the story. At least my immediate boss has my back on the situation. If I do happen to go into labor before the weekend is up, I guess the higher ups will just have to kiss my ass and write me up for having my back up do money and paperwork, because they wouldn’t let her when they suspended my boss and made me work 9 days straight. No wonder this kid wants out, he’s probably more over me being stressed than I am. Oh how I wish I didn’t have to go back to work after my 6 weeks are up. I wanted to stay home so badly. Third time will be the charm hopefully. In fact, I’m hoping round 3 (whenever that may happen) is easier in every way. We’ve set ourselves a limit, just gotta deal with this one and get ourselves resituated before we go for the last one. Things will, hopefully, be much easier. Anyways, I just had to write about that. I don’t want to forget it, as I guess its kind of part of the birth story, even if he doesn’t come for a while. Meh.
