Glenn Close is Speaking at my Graduation
So, I wrote out this long entry yesterday detailing the graduation process for my school. I got to the end and went to insert an emoticon and bloop, OD froze on me. So, I lost it all and apparently it didn’t save any of my stuff. That could be because I logged on to OD on a computer in the animation lab and that erased anything that was saved on this computer? I don’t know the details but I know I lost an entry I worked pretty hard on. Screw rewriting it. And screw writing in the OD window. Guess I’m going to have to go back to writing my stuff in Word and then pasting it in here. That’s more secure. I suppose it wasn’t that important anyway. To summarize, it’s going to be a hectic three days with rehearsal on Friday, two commencement ceremonies on Saturday and getting the heck out of Savannah on Sunday. Oh yeah, and wrangling my family together and showing them around in the mean time.
And yep, Glenn Close is going to be the guest speaker at our graduation. Once again, that’s where my tuition goes.
I almost don’t even want to go through all the effort. To me, it sounds like an organizational nightmare. Huge crowds, lots of specifics to remember, and a ton of waiting. I’m going to be so restless.
I wish my long time OD favorites could be here for my graduation. I mean, I feel like you all experienced college with me, through me. You all read about me applying here and how excited I was when I was accepted. Then you read about how sad I was when I realized this place wasn’t the sparkling image all the bejeweled brochures made it out to be. You all were there for my ups and downs, and downs and downs, depression and dejection. There were some good times as well, as few and far between as they were. I met some interesting people, that’s for sure, and shared them with you all. And as my time here is coming to a close, I feel like you all should experience that kind of closure as I do.
I suppose there’s always pictures to commemorate such an event. And don’t you worry, I’m sure my mom will take a ton and I’ll share them with you when that day comes!
Two more weeks. Three years completed in two more weeks. It’s a lot to take in and I’m scared and excited at the same time.
Mostly just ready to go home.
I’m ready for a freagin’ vacation!
