Food & Fornication

Went out with my roommates tonight.  I had a really enjoyable time.  Beau flaked out on us with the excuse that he had planned on working on his senior film the entire night.  Plus, he was short on cash.  I wasn’t bothered by that too much because he’s been slightly irritating me lately.  Plus, it’s always Beau, Steve, and myself.  Just hanging around Jaryd and Steve would change things up.  Plus, we’ve never done anything together and I’ve never been out with Jaryd at all, with anyone else or alone with him.  So, it was nice to hang out with him in a public setting.  Kinda got to know him better.  He’s a good kid.

First, we went to Carrabba’s, which was great as always.  Our server was really nice and Steve was especially impressed with her because he’s used to getting sucky service here.  It’s true that most people that work here are incredibly unfriendly.  He said she’s the nicest person he’s ever had to deal with since coming to Savannah.  I also thought she was one of the better people I’ve come across.  He got the pizza, which looked amazing.  Next time I go there I’ll have to try it.  Especially considering the fact that I’m running out of things to eat that don’t contain meat.

The waitress was pretty funny because I asked her what they had that didn’t have meat in it and she went through the menu for a bit and started to name something and then was like, “Oh, no, wait, that’s got meat in it.  How about!…oh, nevermind, chicken.  Do you like cheese stuffed ravioli?”

“Yes.”

“Okay, then you’ll have that.”

“Oh, okay then!”

She pretty much ordered for me but I didn’t mind ‘cause I like ravioli.  She also gave me a free salad because of the limited choice of foods I could choose from.  That was a really nice gesture of her but I don’t like iceberg lettuce so I gave the salad to Steve.

We all sat around the table and enjoyed our meals.  Three different customers had “Happy Birthday” sang to them by the staff during our stay, so that was cool.  Every few bites of food, we’d hear this booming voice coming from somewhere in the restaurant singing the song in Italian.  They were good, too.

After dinner, we went to see Zack and Miri Make a Porno.  It was pretty funny and actually sort of romantic.  It really wasn’t as outrageous as I was thinking it would be.  Maybe I’m just a sick mofo but I’ve seen much worse.  But, overall, it was quite enjoyable.  We all laughed and had a good time watching the movie.

Then, we get back to the dorm and what do we see?  Beau and Chana sitting on the couch, two pizzas in front of them on the coffee table.  The funny thing is, Steve and I expected to walk into that scene.  While we were eating at Carrabba’s, we were placing bets on what Beau would be doing and if Chana would be with him.  He was short on cash and wanted to work on his senior film, yet we saw him not working on his senior film and with two pizzas that he had bought.  Pretty annoying, but whatever.  I just feel differently about him after what happened on Halloween, which I still need to get into.

I don’t know, I just really enjoyed myself tonight and felt like I really needed this.  I only have two weeks of school left and this was the boost of fun I needed to get me through the rest of my time here.

So, I had a few notes requesting to see the new hair.  I feel like I might have made it seem like the lady really jacked up my hair.  She didn’t but she just didn’t cut it the way I wanted.  That’s all I was trying to say.  But, here ya go:

First time she cut it.

And second time.

Now that I look at it, it doesn’t look that bad.  I think it looks better than the first cut.  I asked her to do it shorter so that it wouldn’t grow out as fast as the first cut did.  It’s definitely shorter.  I think it’s growing on me.
