Trying

As of yesterday, I’m officially done with work until August.  As of this week, we are officially trying for a baby.  Unfortunately, I don’t have a great feeling about this month…not sure what it is, I just feel like we might have missed it this time.  The good thing is that "trying" is definitely boosting our sex life…it had gotten a little slow lately, so this is a good reminder of what we have been missing out on. =) 

If my intuition is correct and I get my period in a couple of weeks, we’ll definitely put more effort in next month.  I have been trying to keep the pressure off, so have pretty much just been initiating, but we haven’t really been talking about it (though we both know what is up, and this was the agreed upon plan).  Still, I think maybe I need to put a tiny bit more pressure on both of us.  Yesterday I had a positive ovulation test, but waited until late last night to jump on Ryan.  I think that may have been a mistake and that we may have missed our window.  It’s disappointing, but lesson learned I guess.  Who knows, I could be wrong.  I just don’t ever want to get my hopes too high, because I know it can take up to a year for healthy couples to conceive.  That’s crazy and I’m hoping that doesn’t happen to us.  It’s just getting a little nuts around here…two of our friends had babies this week, tonight we went to a shower for a very close friend who’s due in August, and last week another friend shared with me that she just found out she’s pregnant.  I’m really ready to join the club!

Other than this, not much is going on.  I just finished working a couple of weeks at a daycamp with a group of 4 year olds…they were crazy, but fun.  The extra money is nice too.  Now that I’m finished with that, I’m done with everything until school starts back the first week of August.  I’m really worried that I might be too lazy to have summers off though. =)  There’s a lot of work I’d like to get done around the house…I just want to make sure I don’t laze around wasting time instead.
