Failure or Just a Pruned Rose Bush

 I know it has been quite sometime since I have come here to write.  There truly has been so much on my mind.  Coming into this new year 2011, I really did not know what to expect.

Over the last few years, I have seen so much happen in my life.  What more could I really expect?  At this point in time, I have been trying to hang in there and hold my head up high.  It hasn’t been easy.  Well how could it be easy?

Anytime people go through life altering changes, we are stretched.  I had a pastor once explain that when we are struggling God is pruning us so that we can bloom.  I liked that idea.  Right now I feel like a pruned thorny rose bush with its branches empty of leaves and flowers.  Yup that is me.  Heck I know Nate would say he feels that way too.  Hello how many of you reading this right now could say, “I am that pruned rose bush!”
