Sore and wearing a seat belt

I had a hip injury due to wearing my seat belt 14 years ago.  I was re-ended by two cars.  I had been stopped  at a red light with my foot on the break.  The first little miata that hit me wasn’t a problem but a Jeep Cherokee rammed into the miata and slammed it into me so hard that my back end flipped up into the air and landed on the hood and front window of the miata bouncing REPEATEDLY on this car.  My car was 3 months old and the miata guy ‘s car was 3 days old and the bitch in the cherokee worked for the insurance company and the first words out of her mouth were "I am 10 minute slate for a meeting can I just get out of here…."  The Miata Guy and I were NOT pleased at all with this chick.

Anyways The seat belt I was wearing crushed my siatic nerve and fractured my hip.  I have really bad hip pians and I either can’t feel anything on my left thigh or all I feel is pins and needles with burning hot pain.

I cannot believe someone told me that if I hadn’t been wearing my seat belt then I wouldn’t have this problem and would be better off.  In fact I have had several people tell me this.

If I didn’t have my seat belt on I do not even want to know what would have happened to me.  I can only imagine being thrown through the windshield or some other horrific experience.  The seat belt kept me from getting more tossed around and hurt.  OH and there was a defect in my air bag and it never went off until AFTER I was out of the car……………………..

So yes I do always wear my seat belt.  Today I am in some massive pain in my hip but I know this pain is from wearing a seat belt that saved me from some horrible head injuries or even my life.
