NoJoMo#26 – How I met my man

I do not have enough time to elaborate but we did meet at work.  When he first started he was a temp and I was pregnant dating someone else, whom is now just a very good friend.  I never really saw Nathan or talked to him.  At work we were moving to a new building and I was busy with training others from a different class of temps.  He may have been there a month before I aburptly left for maternity leave. 

Now one of my best friends was a temp there and got to know him and although was on and off with her boyfriend she had a huge crush on him.  She kept telling me how I needed to meet this great guy and that she wants to break up with the other guy and be with him.  The thing was she couldn’t tell if he liked her that way or not because he would hang out but never ever did anything more but be friends.

When I returned from maternity leave I introduced myself to him via email because I didn’t know what he looked like.  He however had totally noticed me and was glad that I emailed.  We became friends fast.  I had returned to work the first week of february and then had to take a week off because my grandmother passed away. 

Now my friend was telling him how she wanted more but he kept telling her he just wanted to be friends and so she started dating some other guy.  I got to know Nathan very well and finally we hung out on Memorial day without friends and not at work.  We had a wonderful time.

We then started going out every weekend and also with friends and then June 13th we took a big step in our friendship and kissed.  It was AMAZING!!!!  We kept it quiet at work to avoid drama for 6 months and then came out publicly.  My friend felt like I stole him from her even though she had someone else and he was never into her that way.  She is not his type.

We have been together for almost a 1 year and a half and just moved in together last year.
