surprises

My aunt is coming up this week as a surprise.  I’m the only person who knows right now (besides her obviously lol).  She is planning to come up Tuesday, drive straight through the day (with potty breaks for the dogs of course), and get here Tuesday evening.  She plans to be up about a week but she may end up staying for 2 weeks or so.  It’ll be nice.  I have an acceptable schedule for the visit too.  I work all day Wednesday but I go in late on Thursday and Friday and I work morning on Saturday so I’ll actually get to spend some time with her at least.  I might work for a few hours Saturday night at the pharmacy because there is this new thing coming around with signs and when they have to be put up on Saturdays, plus we lost one cashier this week and so we’re short staffed again.  Oh well.  One thing at a time.

I haven’t really gotten to talk to Isaac much since left.  We’ve texted back and forth a little bit.  Sadly, part of it was about work because apparently he didn’t fill out the MLoA paperwork in order to keep his job.  I don’t know if he wasn’t told about it or if it just got lost in the mess, either one is possible.  So he’s supposed to talk to one of the managers about it soon, he couldn’t tonight because the store had already closed by that time.  He’s really busy is all he ever really says to me.  I asked him to call me tonight but it didn’t happen.  Oh well.  Maybe tomorrow night.  

I’ve got a to-do list a mile long right now.  And it keeps growing.  I have managed to cross off ONE thing on it all day.  ONE!!  Gah.  Simple things too, like putting away laundry and changing my sheets (the big fluffy winter comforter has got to go at this point).  But there’s also bills on there I need to pay, notes about moving money around in accounts, looking into hotels and spas for my mini-vacation for my birthday as well as prices for tickets to stuff there in the city.  Honestly we’re going to the theme park and that’ll be fun but it’s a 3 day weekend and I intend to enjoy things other than the theme park if I can.  

I’ve also been looking at calendars and bill-paying schedules because in July the pharmacy is switching over to bi-weekly payroll and what do you know, the first weekend we don’t have a pay check is the weekend of my vacation….wow, what a shock.  *sarcasm*  So I will not only be living my normal life stretching out a paycheck for 2 weeks, it’s also the weekend I will be going out of town on vacation!  Eff Em Ell……   So that’s why I’m looking at moving money around in my accounts and budgeting like a crazy person.  I have 2 and a half months to save up money for this damned trip.  Thankfully I have another paid holiday this month and chances are very good I’ll be working so I’ll get time and a half on top of that!  Yay Memorial day!!  lol  Hopefully I’ll be able to (if not set aside extra money) pay ahead some of my bills for the month of June/July.  Guess we’ll see how it works out as we go.  I’m still working all the budgeting out in my head and on paper.  There’s time yet.  

Oh, I also got my personal property tax bill.  $106….damn.  That’ almost twice what I was paying on my old car, more than twice I think actually.  So I’m budgeting money into that for next month too.  I figure setting aside $25 a week for the next four weeks will be fine.  I’ve actually budgeted for this week and after all my known expenses (bills, gas, and setting aside money) I still have $60 to work with for the week.  That’s pretty good for me!!  lol

I bought some stuff today and that’s deducted out of that as well so that’s even more impressive.  I bought 3 new t-shirts (some of mine are starting to show wear and get holes in them) but I can wear them to the pharmacy so that’s sort of not a bad thing.  I bought them at $5/each which is really not bad for cool pattern-printed tees.  One is Disney’s "Lady and the Tramp" it’s so cute.  I also bought strawberries and have eaten almost half the damn box, which is like 1/2 lb of strawberries!  I also bought mom some pringles and a pepsi which was the whole reason I went into Walmart in the first place.  LOL  Oh well.

I went to karaoke tonight at Cheeseburger in Paradise.  It was fun, saw a bunch of friends and sang.  I’ll have to make sure that Isaac comes out when he is home on leave.  He’s only heard me sing in the car and a few times when I’ve sung along to the Ipod as we’re falling asleep.  He likes me to sing.  I think he’d really enjoy hearing me actually sing in public lol.

Oh well.  I think it’s time for me to wind down and head to bed.  I don’t plan to sleep in tomorrow, at least not later than 10 and it’s almost 2am now.  Night all!!!
