NoJoMo Day 30: I made it sick
Not the phone, my computer. It’s been doing this weird software nonsense the last couple of days as well as resetting the system time & date so that it can’t install new updates. The first time it did it I ran anti-virus and it came back empty so now I’m running the full gammit, anti-virus, spyware, malware, all of it. This nonsense is old. *sigh* This is the last thing I should have to worry about right now but oh well.
Another big sigh, I have to work today for 9 hours. I like my job, don’t get me wrong. I just wish the hours were more predictable. I mean, 12-7 yesterday, 12-9 today, then 3 days of 5-10. Last week it was 10-5, 10-7, something, and then 8-3. It’s crazy. And my hours have gone down. Last week I was only scheduled 25 (plus time and a half which made it 28-29 hours for the week) and this week it’s 30 but that includes my lunches yesterday and today which will be deducted from the actual hours so really it’s only 29 again. I understand it’s the holidays, people are going to be finishing up classes. We’re also losing an hour on Saturdays when they change our opening from 8am to 9am so that’s an hour that she’s going to have to make up for elsewhere although hopefully that means better coverage elsewhere during the week. We’ll see.
Mom is going down this weekend to pick up the puppies. I’m supposed to go down with her but I have to talk to my supervisor about having off next Monday if that’s the case. I might be able to convince her to let me work 6-9 and close since I’ve now been trained on how to close. We’ll head down Sunday morning and come back Monday morning. If it were just me I’d mainline Monsters and be there and back on Sunday lol. It’s only a 7 hour drive! I could totally do that twice in a day. LOL
Augh, this PC scan is not going to finish by the time I need to leave for work and that sucks. I’ll have to leave it up to finish running and then come back and fix it. No, it’s not one of those that auto-fixes things then shuts off when the scan is complete. My anti-virus does that but not the anti-spyware/malware program. It also doesn’t run automatically and I couldn’t tell you the last time I ran it which is probably why I’m having these issues now. Yeah I know, ownership responsibilities. Not like I’ve had the time or inclination to do much of anything lately. I haven’t even played video games lately. I get home and lay down and watch TV and that’s about it. Oh well. It’s my own fault, I’ll deal with it. I’ll learn from it. Moving on.
Okay, I think it’s time to start getting ready for work while the computer sits in time-out being cleaned.
