NoJoMo Day 8: better late

So I didn’t get to see Isaac last night after all. He ended up crashing almost as soon as he got home which made me pouty-face all evening. Then my period started which made me even more pouty-face.

But he came by to see me at work and brought me Auntie Anne’s pretzels (which I ended up dropping on the sidewalk so I didn’t get to enjoy them *womp womp* lol) and sat with me during me lunch. Which was really sweet. Then we spent most of the evening together after I got off at 9. I just took him home a little while ago. We went to the midnight release party thing for CoD: Black Ops. Ended up running into Gabe. (The guy with the heavy body mods including the fascinating lip piercing that I messed around with way back in…April-ish?) That was kind of weird because the topic ended up turning to how he and I did in fact sort of hook up. Isaac was okay with it since it was months ago. His ears did sort of perk up at first though but once he realized it was very much past tense he relaxed again and just laughed about it. Gabe really is kind of a sweet guy. He said he’s cut back on the drinking and he wants to hang out again soon. We’ll see.

I’m just making it one day at a time. I work closing shifts all this week until Friday when I open. Isaac may or may not end up spending the night more often in the coming weeks. He still hasn’t gotten a car and his dad is apparently looking at re-entering the workforce (he retired a few months back but he’s pretty bored) and if that happens, he won’t be available to drive him to work as much. We’ll see.

It’s weird to think that we’ve been dating a month now.

It’s weird to think I’m dating again. After how shattered Quinn left me I really thought I would never have the courage to date again. But here I am. And I’m happy. Not 24/7-scary-happy but I’m happy.

Oh well. I think it’s time for bed now.
