application for date-ability
So people tell me all the time they can’t understand why I’m single, ever. Not just that I am single and have been for months (Hunter and I never were an item long enough for anyone to really acknowledge it), but that I am ever single at all. They just don’t get it and I don’t really either. So I’m making a survey/list of characteristics that I feel are my strongest pros/cons of things that are ‘pet peeves’ of other people.
1. Do you leave clothes on the bathroom floor?
Not unless I have less than an hour to get out the door. In which case usually it stays where it drops until I get home. But clothes on the floor bothers me because I end up tripping on them.
2. Do you leave wet towels on the floor?
HELL NO! That drives me nuts! I hang them up, either on the bar, on the back of the door or over a chair, wet towels left on the floor stay wet and then mold and ew…yeah just no.
3. Do you play video games?
Not religiously and not a lot of them. I prefer RPG-style games or else fighting games. I love competitive games too. But I don’t play them as often as I used to because let’s face it, I just flat don’t have the time normally. With school ending in May (and I do mean ending at least going on hiatus indefinitely) we’ll see if it changes.
4. Can you cook?
Yes, I’m actually a decent cook. I love trying to cook too. And I’m an excellent baker, from scratch, fyi.
5. Are you a flirt?
Apparently yes, a huge flirt. But I really don’t think about it, and it’s not a conscious thing. It’s just habit I guess.
6. Do you prefer going out or staying in?
Really I prefer to stay in. Where else can I sit around in my pajamas (or cuddled up naked, whatever *tehe*). But sometimes I just get in a mood to go out and socialize and dance and be crazy. A lot of depends on my energy level and how my day was. Or if my friends insist I leave my house lol.
7. Do you like to clean?
Surprisingly yes. Actually, the cleaning part I hate, the after-having-just-cleaned is the part I LOVE. Nothing makes me happier than surveying a clean room. But I hate folding laundry. Just annoys the crud out of me for some reason. Can’t even tell you why but it does.
8. Do you watch TV?
Yes but not as much as people think. I tend to leave the tv on as background noise when I do everything. I am probably not paying attention to it at all but it will be on. I actually only watch a few shows. (Spongebob, CSI, NCIS, House, Family Guy, wrestling, UFC….sadly that’s about all that come to mind….wow, but the thing is, Spongebob, NCIS, House, and CSI all tend to run in clumps of programs, and since 3/4 are hour long episodes anyways….you see where the impression comes from that I watch too much tv)
9. Do you collect anything?
I try not to but I have accumulated a lot of knick knacks over the years, most involuntarily as gifts. The few things I collect that I actively look for our snowflake (assorted snowflake-themed things) and currently stuff related to my sorority (ie, our national symbol, chapter mascot, and family mascot, and our letters)
10. Are you sarcastic?
Oh yeah, watch yourself around me. You won’t even realize it half the time I do it so straight-faced.
11. Do you drink/take drugs?
I drink rarely and always in moderation. I have never been drunk. I have never done drugs.
12. Have you ever been unfaithful?
Nope and plan never to be. I see no reason to be unfaithful and if a particular individual (and I mean AN INDIVIDUAL) tempts me that much, then I obviously don’t need to be in a relationship with who I’m with.
13. Can you balance a checkbook?
Sadly no, and I know I need to learn but I just can’t bring myself to understand it all. I need to start trying harder and it is my goal to have done so consecutively by the end of the summer.
14. Are you good in bed?
I’ve been told, several times, that I am. I don’t think I am and I certainly haven’t made it a goal to be so. I just go with what I feel at the time is the right thing to do. It seems to work for me though (and apparently them).
15. Do you like experimenting in bed?
I like to think I’d try anything once. Honestly how can I say I don’t like it if I’m not even willing to try it. Same goes for brussel sprouts. Tried them, honestly hate them. Don’t mind okra though, it’s actually pretty good. The same goes for some of the sexual things I’ve tried. There are definitely things that I enjoy that I wouldn’t have ever thought I would. ; )
16. Are you religious?
Moderately so. I’m not a big religious nut or anything. I don’t attend church regularly (and that’s partly because I haven’t found a church) but I would like to one day. And I don’t think one religion is going to work for everyone, particularly not if you have people who are judgemental and hypocritical trying to sell you their idea of religion and saying you can’t deviate at all or you’ll go to hell.
17. Are you pro-marriage?
Yeah, I would like to get married one day but in a nice simple ceremony. Not some big hoopla thing. Simple wedding=more money for the reception XD
18. What is something that annoys you often?
Slow people. I mean slow walkers or slow drivers. I hate having to wait while other people just DAWDLE!!! It’s not even like their waiting for something, they’re just being effing slow!!!! It drives me nuts. For instance. Our dining hall is kind of a buffet style thing where you walk around to get your food. And sometimes you have to hurry because you only have 45 minutes to get your food, eat, and walk 10 minutes (in that 45, not in addition) to get to your next class. And then you get stuck walking behind these slow freaking people who just won’t get out of the way because they are too busying shooting off at the mouth to each other! AGH!
19. Do you hog the bed?
You know, I don’t know. I don’t think I do since I tend to wake up right where I remember falling asleep. Granted I think I toss and turn a little. I also sleep on the same side of the bed no matter where I am and if I don’t get to I don’t sleep very well or at all. And I don’t hog the covers either. In fact I tend to kick them off in the middle of the night, wake up freezing, and have to go searching for them again.
20. Are you clingy?
I don’t think so. I can go several days without talking to someoneI’m seeing if I have to. I prefer not to just because I don’t want them to feel like I’ve drifted away or feel that they’re drifting away from me. So I try to talk to them every day at least once, even if it’s just an IM or text. And I know I am ok with not seeing them for a couple days so long as I am still in communication with them daily. But I don’t get clingy because I need my own space to function and get stuff done.
Well, that’s top 20 that I could think of. If you think of any feel free to leave a note with the suggestion and I’ll either add it or if I have a lot, I’ll make a separate one of the suggestion. : )
