Saying goodbye to 2008
1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before? Joined a sorority
2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Didn’t make any, I hope to make and keep some for this year
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Not close to me, but some acquaintances did have kids, my friends got pregnant or are getting ready to pop out a kid
4. Did anyone close to you die? Close to me, no, but someone did die
5. What countries did you visit? Didn’t visit any other countries
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008? To have a wonderful, steady man in my life to stand beside me, a great job, and a plan for the future
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? 12/1, the singularly worst day of 2008
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Joining the sorority
9. What was your biggest failure? Failing a class, thankfully it was only one and I retook it for a B
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Tonsilitis 3 times, haha
11. What was the best thing you bought? Hmm, nothing comes to mind, most of my stuff was only the necessity kind of things
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Mine, I did very well this year XD
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Angel’s, my mother’s
14. Where did most of your money go? Food, the sorot
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Hunter (sadly), joining the sorority
16. What song will always remind you of 2008? Hmmm, I have no idea, no particular song comes to mind haha
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. Happier or sadder? Happier, for once
ii. Thinner or fatter? The same, haha, my boobs got bigger but my weight is exactly the same
iii. Richer or poorer? Poorer
18. What do you wish you’d done more of? Working but that wasn’t quite by my own choice >_<, studying
19. What do you wish you’d done less of? Goofing off, stressing
20. How will you be spending Christmas? I spent it quietly at home with my immediate family
21. What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you in 2008? Thankfully nothing horribly embarrassing comes to mind, that’s a good thing
22. Did you fall in love in 2008? Hm, no, I came awful close though and I could be falling again soon, if things work out
23. How many one-night stands? None
24. What was your favorite TV program? True Blood and House
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year? Hate, no, but I am very upset about some people’s behavior
26. What was the best book you read? Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon (I laughed, I cried, I fell in love)
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Hmm, Bo Burnham maybe though he is more comedic than musical really haha
28. What did you want and get? I wanted to join a sorority (and did), I wanted to pass all my classes (and did, eventually)
29. What did you want and not get? To move out, to get a boyfriend
30. What was your favorite film of this year? Hmm, Twilight wasn’t bad, but I didn’t really fall in love with any of the movies that come out this year
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I went to school and I turned 23
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Having a man that behaved in a way worthy of my attention
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008? Comfortable, jeans & t-shirt style, but I’ve started getting more ‘professional’ looking
34. What kept you sane? My friends, my sisters and Hunter
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy most? Eh, none really
36. What political issue stirred you the most? Rising cost of education, loss of loans for students
37. Who did you miss? My Oma, some of my friends
38. Who was the best new person you met? Hunter, much as he irritates me sometimes he has been an amazing asset to my life
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008. Oh, just 1? I have no idea, maybe to be open to all that life has in store, to not let stress rule your life, there’s a ton of them haha
40. If you could sum up 2008 in three words, what would they be? Surprising, stressful, worth it
