That funny smell of learning

I had organic lab today.  After every lab my hands smell kind of funny.  My hair and clothes are fine walking out but my hands always have this smell!!  Ugh.

And the snow we were getting last night?  Didn’t last at all.  It was almost all gone before the sun was even up.  :   It sucked. 

I’m pretty sure M’s relationship status does not include me.  How do I know?  Because today was Valentine’s day and I haven’t heard anything from him.  I heard from Joyce and from Nadia, I’ve heard from Georgie and Lexi.  I talked to my mum and will be talking to her again in a bit. 

And Caleb called today while I was in lab.  Our labs usually involve a lot of standing around waiting for things to boil and cool so I dashed out into the hall when I saw he was calling.  I only talked to him for a few minutes obviously because I had to get back to my lab work.  He wished me a Happy V-day.  Then complained a bit about how he was having a sucky day.  Apparently he tried to do something nice for a female soldier he’s not-dating and she ended up blowing him off and that kind of got him pissed, understandably.  I called our conversation off after a few minutes to get back to work and he could call me back later.  He said "Ok, I’ll talk to you later sweety."  I replied and then he said "Take care, baby."  Five minutes after I’d hung up the phone it hit me…"Baby?  Sweety?  WTH???"  He has never called me ‘baby’ or ‘sweety’ or any kind of pet name.  I call everyone hun, and sweets, and babe, and sexy, and things like that.  I give everyone pet names and nick names.    He doesn’t call anyone a pet name even when he was down here visiting me on leave I don’t remember him calling me anything other than my name.  I’m trying not to make anything of it since really there is nothing I could do about anything either way.  He’s still stationed up in New York and I still live three states away.  It isn’t exactly a weekend kind of trip LOL.  He insists on not dating someone who he can’t see at least once or twice a month and I insist on not looking for a relationship : )

Oh well.  Gotta get to studying.  First Organic text of the semester tomorrow morning.  I also have a reading to do for Social psych and I need to get the notes for Abnormal from that cute guy who sits next to me. ; )
