-.-.another day done.-.-

So today was really uneventful.  Auntie came over with my god-sister at 10-something this morning so her and my mum could go get the damage appraised on their cars (refer to this entry about the crash).  They left me in charge of both my brother and the kid.  I thought it was only until they were done with the cars but no, I had to entertain this child pretty much by myself until almost 6pm.  Not that I don’t like kids or that I don’t love my god-sister.  But my brother is 19 and I’m 22…we are not a ‘kiddy’ household.  So mostly we watched movies and made some cookies, ate lunch and then finally played a boardgame. 

Finally my mom and my aunty come home and they visit for another hour or so and finally aunty and the kid leave for the evening.  It was 8-something pm.  So I didn’t get any of my own work accomplished today like I had planned.  I am finally working on laundry although I know I won’t finish it because I’m falling asleep even while I’m typing this.  Nor did I work on any school stuff or clean my room.  My brother is not a baby-sitter by any stretch.  We’re lucky he can take care of himself as well as he does but even that is debatable.  So nope, it was up to me.  :

And tomorrow they will be here around noon because we are going to the theater to see Beauty and the Beast (the theater, not the movies) and we have to be there at 1pm when they start seating and serving food.  I didn’t pack any real dress clothes so I’m going to have to wing something which means I have to be up around 9am-ish to get a bath (since I will most likely have to shave or at least finish laundry since my nice black pants are in the washer right now).
*sigh*

Probably not going to spend New Year’s with Joyce as she insists on doing it in a big city and that’s an hour drive from here.  She offered to give me a ride but I hate spending New Year’s with a bunch of strangers (which is what I’d do if I went to her friend’s little party) then crashing at a strange place.  Plus I will be closing the store New Year’s eve (roughly 6 or 7-ish so not too bad) and then I have to be at work at noon on New Year’s day.  Don’t feel like fighting the traffic to get down or back on either day.  So I will instead be going to Angel’s.  She’s decided to have a bonfire, weather permitting.  Even if we can’t have the bonfire itself she will still be having a party.  Not too many people I know but a few will be there.  And it’s better than fighting traffic and finding a parking spot around here someplace where I won’t know anyone at all.  Now if Joyce was going to stay up here I’d go out with her to wherever but as it is, just don’t want to go so far out of my way.
