Questions

Okay, so, I’ve been postulating for some time now. And I think I want to create an arena for discourse. Simple, yet important things like.

What is pornography? Is there a line between pornography and art? Where would such a line be? What’s the difference between erotic art and sexually explicit art? Is pornography art?

Or.

If we rely on our brains to interpret all the information we get from the outside world how do you know the information the brain is giving you is the right information?

Where did language come from? Which came first, written or spoken language?

If at the base all matter is made of nothing more than energy and energy travels in waves then doesn’t matter travel in waves but the wavelengths are so astronomically huge and the amplitudes are just so minutely small that it isn’t register able? If everything is a wave, then everything interacts with everything else, so wouldn’t it be possible to influence those interactions? If matter is made of energy then isn’t it possible to focus energy into a shape and create matter?

What is the truth?  When is a lie the truth?  Is the truth the same thing as fact?  How can you prove something is true?  How can you prove it’s a fact?  How can you prove it isn’t true, how can you prove it’s a fiction?  Are facts derived from the truth?  Or is the truth derived from facts?  What is a fact?  If a fact is something that is proven true, and a lie can be a true, then can’t a fact be false?
