I heard an interesting and sad commentary on NPR yesterday. It was from a Viet Nam vet who said that all the Christmas greetings and wishes sent his way and Bob Hope special he attended made him feel worse, not better, about being oversees in an unpopular conflict. He said it only made him more homesick. I’d never heard anyone say that. It made me sad. There are no easy answers, are there?
