 Pain killers do funny things to the system…not just killing pain but the mind goes a bit out there and the guts – well let’s just say that concrete sets softer! OK TMI but I am currently in the land of so what – or whatever!

Wounds are healing nicely – and I had a chiropody check (diabetics get peripheral circulation issues) which says they are ok. Following on from being told I have the start of a cataract in my right eye it was good to get some nice news.

So the family are doing their usual nonsense. D1 is and remains a pain and still demanding of time and assistance. D2 is getting on with work but it is seemingly less likely that she will get her training contract in law and is having to think of other avenues of gainful employment. No1son appears to be less than  forthcoming about anything and that includes what time he is returning for his late birthday celebration. Saying thanks for the cards would possibly have eased things off with his mother!

Thenun is seemingly over the moon and lovey dovey – nice but the last time things were like this she was banging her mates hubby in ojur house….entries from time ago if you really want to know and have forgotten.

I have started doing an e-learning management of people course which will be good on the CV but it is unclear how the future is going to work.

The government MAY have cocked up with its process for the carving off of 70+% of the probation service to the private sector – it depends on interpretation of European Law which is complicated enough at the best of time – and has already shortened the time for making bids (2 weeks from the 23rd August) and then 2 weeks to assess the merits of those who have applied. There are some 400 on the bid list but assuming that half won’t apply then that is still a heck of a lot of time. One wonders if this will be ‘cursory’ at best. [Remember the hash they made of the West Coast Railway franchise process and you’ll get some idea of where this could go.]

So work is up in the air…my shoulder is missing bits…and England are struggling to win a test match – again.

Yep, world is as normal – although quieter than it has been…certainly cooler!
