Phew
Seems I am using the phew word a lot but there we go…
Lying here with my tens machine on easing the pain from my back I am glad I am busy – better than when I had no job – but strangely I am also disappointed that I am not seeming to get any recognition for helping major projects progress. But hey I don’t wish to seem ungrateful nor indeed churlish. Sometimes though etc etc etc
The day has extended by and hour or so either end to accommodate the travel and the weather today has not assisted by deciding to be blustery and snowy followed by bright sunlight. Yep, Brits can talk about the weather til the world ends but it will never be right!
Mothers Day yesterday led to The Nun being happy clappy and dinner cooked by d2.
GD1 has a diagnosis of dyslexia – not the end of the world and her assessment shows her as being i the top 10-15% for knowledge but the converse for retention and organisation. I got her some reading rulers which have different colours and she finds that they stop the words jumping around…not my wordss but hers. She is now reading like a trooper and catching up the rest a treat so props for me, hey give a guy a break, for buying the things (they just are not inexpensive) and props to little one for getting on and enjoying reading.
D2 has been discharged from the speech therapist, she had (has?) a lazy voice box meaning she doesn’t clearly speak…she does now speak a lot more clearly so we just have to keep plodding on.
And as for work we have one resigning while others are looking for excuses to go/moan. The old story is that we are employed and have great terms and conditions compared to the private sector…big bonus. The downside to all of thisis currently public sector in the UK and, probably elsewhere, is making some serious serious cuts.
Can we do anything about them – absolutely not. Can we do our utmost to keep our jobs in the public sector – of course we can. So what are people doing? Moaning about things they cannot do and trying to keep doing what they have always done which means they may not be doing anything at all. For those of a certain age this may be OK for others under the early 50’s this is not an option…and for those of us who are disabled and middle-aged even less so.
But hey I will deal with that when I have to – and spread my philosophy of trying to be happy even if I am not…but for now I am average. Don’t look down your nose at me that is a big improvement.
I hope your back feels better, I’m glad tings are clipping along for you, hugs!

All the moaning and groaning I do in my head at work isn’t helping me get another job neither! LOL – meh, it will happen eventually. In the meantime, I just keep on keeping on hating it, lol… Take care.. G~
