[x] Summer 2008 // Today

July 2008… ugh horrible time.. // Now.

Who was the last person you threw out of your life?
Cat and Emma, at the same time. // ‘Threw out’ hmm, I’m not sure… maybe Mel. A girl I lived with for 6 weeks last year who turned out to be severely unhinged.

Are you wearing socks?
No.

Do you regret something you did yesterday?
Yes. Me and Dan had a horrible argument… it was really, really bad… I said some bad things, he did as well, but I still regret it. // Ugh I feel awful remembering those times. Anyway – no I don’t.

When was the last time you cried?
Today. // About a month ago.

Why were you crying?
I was upset about what I just mentioned…and just our relationship in general. // I’m in a rambling mood, so… 2012 has been a stressful nightmare job wise. I found out on the 4th January that I was going to be made redundant (along with every other member of staff who worked there, 40+ people), which was so awful as I adored the job and the people, I had relocated for the job, and I’d only been there 5/6 months. Obviously that was stressful as hell, but I had a few months to find another job… and something came up very quickly that was just down the road from my house! It wasn’t an amazing job, but it was still good experience, I would have still continued to look for other things but at a more relaxed pace. To cut a long story short, I was pressured into starting there early (missing out on a couple of months high salary from my previous job and my holiday pay), and it was a total nightmare. I worked 4 shifts, and it was so alarming and disturbing, that I arranged an urgent meeting with the MD to discuss my concerns. The result of this meeting was that I was sacked, for ‘causing issues’ and apparantly ‘everyone hated’ me. So… I now found myself totally jobless, at a loss, still having to pay rent and bills of course. In the space of 6 days after that, I managed to report the company, start a legal case against them, attend 3 interviews and secure another job (which was a lot better), but which would also involve relocating. Sooo… all the stress of organising starting the job, relocating, etc… whilst not earning. I started the new job in May, all going well, I felt totally okay and unphased by everything that had happened this year, somehow. THEN I found out I would no longer be working in a prison (which is where I thought I’d be based, this was the plan) and there was a question mark over my job AGAIN… I found this out on a Friday, so I had a truly horrible weekend of feeling totally unlike myself, really upset and just about ready to give up. I think it was the combined stress of everything that took it’s toll. Thankfully since then, things have stabilised… I still have loads of exams and a court case coming up, but I’m determined no more shit can happen this year.
