nothing changes, just rearranges

On Monday I sat down and had a Facebook friend cull.
I managed to delete 97 people.
People I worked with a million years ago and haven’t spoken to since. People I went to college with. People I went to primary school with. People I met at training for my current job who no longer work for the company.
Some names I didn’t even recognise, then I realised it was someone who had changed their surname. I figured if someone I knew had gotten married and I didn’t even know about it, then we can’t be that close right?

I mentioned in my last entry that my ankle got kicked at roller derby last week.
Well, now it’s infected and looking kind of gross. hmm.

The last time I saw my mom, she asked me (very much out of the blue) "Are you eating enough".
A very mumsy thing to ask huh, haha!
My answer was that I’m eating the same amount I’ve always eaten, but now, for the first time in my life, I’m actually doing some exercise. It seems playing roller derby is doing as much for my body as it is for my social life.

We went grocery shopping on Saturday.
I was bouncing around the snack aisle, and just as I turned around with a massive bag of mini cheddars in each hand, holding them up triumphantly and shouting excitedly that they were just £1 each, we bumped into the lady we’re buying our house from!
She said "aren’t you the couple who’s buying my house?"
haha, how embarrassing. Quickly put my bargain mini cheddars into the trolley.
Worst part was that we kept bumping into her while we were doing the rest of our shopping. Awkward.

I applied to be on Bargain hunt a few months ago. The BBC called me yesterday asking if I was free to go for an audition on Saturday. Both Niks and I are busy, what a shame! It’s a bit silly that they gave us such short notice though.
She said she’ll keep us on file and call us when they’re in the area again :/

My glasses arrived in the post this morning.
I now have perfect vision and I saved myself about £60!

We bought Elroy a reflective collar and an address tag for when we move and he starts going out on his own.
He looks like a proper cat now 🙂
