cherry blossoms
I’ve spent all day on the couch.
I watched Once on netflix.
It was beautiful.
I went to a dinner party last night and the birthday girl was Scottish. Haggis, potatoes and turnips were the only thing on the menu.
I’d never had haggis before but I certainly didn’t want to be one of those rude people who goes to someone’s home and refuses to even try something because they think they won’t like it.
So I had some haggis. I had to stop my brain from reminding me what I was actually eating.
Once I was able to do that, it was ok. It just tasted like a big meatball haha.
And Cat made the most amazing chocolate cake for puds.. it had brandy soaked raspberries in it and this crazy layer of chocolate mousse stuff underneath the top layer of icing.
Ben got a new job!
He’s been looking for a new job for about a year, but didn’t want to leave his current crappy job for another crappy job so he’s just kind of waited out for something worthwhile.
The wait seems to have paid off and he’ll now be taking emergency 999 calls for the police!
Still waiting for an official start date though.
The job is based outside of Bristol so he’s going to have to get a car.
So.. new house, new job and new car all in the same month.
Exciting times.
Still no news on the house.
We’ve applied for our mortgage, so it’s a case of wait-and-see now.
I’m lost in thoughts of decorating.
I’ve never lived somewhere where I got to choose the colour of the walls.
I went to a fundraiser on Thursday.
Bingo!
The theme was blue-rinse bingo and we all had to dress up as old ladies.
It was really funny, and one of the prizes was a cabbage.
I played 6 games and didn’t win anything.
Still had fun though!
I want this bedding.
They’re out of stock and it’s making me sad.
I injured my ankle again at training last night.
Nothing serious but I think I need to stay off skates for a few weeks.
I really need a haircut.
This makes me super happy 😀
I thought I had more to write about.
I bet it’ll come to me in 10 minutes
hahahahahaha thanks so much for the link, oh my goodness it really cheered me up! Her blue socks look exactly like my ones for action cricket – I was in stitches! 😀 xx
