Most of these pictures were taken on my compact.
I wasn’t allowed to bring my SLR into the world cup without a media pass.
And the rest of the time I was either walking around in the rain or getting drunk and taking my SLR out with me was either a lot of effort or a really bad idea.

 

This was our downtown hostel in Toronto

 

View from our bedroom window, we could see the CN tower!  The only other picture of the CN tower I got was on the day we were leaving and it was taken out of the bus window haha. It was so foggy you couldn’t even see the top of it.

Waiting for the subway. We had to take a tram, a subway and a bus to get from our hostel to the world cup venue.

 

This was the first bout we watched. This picture looks awesome by accident.

 

That’s Suzy Hotrod. She is indeed very hot.

We got an amazing spot on the suicide line on the last day, so we had an awesome view of the final, but it was hell sitting on the floor all day.

 

We made friends with 2 Canadian girls sitting next to us on the last day. They were lovely.. I don’t even remember their names.

 

We went to one of the official after parties. Our pre-drinking drink was only referred to as "alcoholic beverage" on the label, which worried me a little

On to Niagra. We were only there for 1 night and this was the AMAZING hotel room we got.
Only $60 for both of us including breakfast and we got

a free upgrade. This room was huge, so were the beds!

And there was a swan on the bed!

and a swan in the bathroom!

AND we had a view of Niagra Falls!

We’d been walking around in the rain all day. We were cold and wet and tired. It was a little difficult to be in awe of the falls, which seems a shame now.

 

We went to TGI fridays for lunch, and to get out of the rain. This was across the road and made me laugh.

 

Niks bought shiny new skates in Canada. She tried them out in the hallway of our hotel 🙂
They’re the reason she now has a broken leg though 🙁

 

Our last night there we went to the casino.. because that’s what Niks and I do when we get together.
I won $18 on a village people themed 1c slot machine that played Macho Man when I won haha.
