lovely boyfriend

I came home from work today to find Tom cooking in the kitchen. He cooked us a massive fryup, which was absolutely delicious, albeit bad for my waistline. The first thing I saw when I walked through the door was a cup of tea and some flowers Tom had bought me arranged in a pint glass of water by the front door. He’d also bought me some sweets, which were on the floor being guarded by Truffles (Truffles is a cuddly cat that Tom bought me and Tom likes to leave him in random places around the flat – very cute). So he’s definitely in my good books at the moment – what a sweetheart!

Tom is going to apply to do a law conversion course in September so it looks like we may be moving to Sheffield, which is quite exciting. I’m pleased because I don’t really want to be in my job for much longer, but it is a bit scary thinking of all the things that need organising and worrying about not being able to find a job up there, etc.

I’m cooking a roulade tonight; I made one the other day, but I didn’t like the filling the recipe told me to use so I’m making another one with a lemony theme – the first cakey thing I’ve made that is sort of of my own design. I’ve been making lots of different cakes, still doing one every weekend, sometimes more lol. I think I’m actually becoming a more confident cook and making things I wouldn’t have attempted before. I made an apple pie including my own pastry, a roast dinner, soup from scratch. I’m enjoying it a lot!

It’s becoming apparent that I don’t really have anything interesting to say so I shall leave it there.

xxx
